The toaster arrived on time and in perfect condition. I slightly overtoasted one slice of bread learning what number to set, but that accomplished the toast comes out perfect every time. It looks good, and works great. What more could you ask for.
Bought this toaster through Amazon and after about a month it began toasting the sides of bread unevenly. Such a shame considering the manufacturer. One side of the toast is burned and the other side is not even lightly toasted so now we get to stand by the toaster and watch one side brown, flip the bread to the other side and do the same. Do not waste your money on this toaster. I was assuming with the brand came quality. Guess I was mistaken.
My complaint is the same as the other one star ratings.one side of the toast doesn't get toasted, however, the other thing that surprised me with this toaster is that, in this day of "green" products, this toaster wastes energy with LED toasting settings. Kind of like a ringer on a phone that is silent or rings, but it's so quiet when the toast pops up that I'm unaware when the toast is done since I'm not hovering over the toaster waiting for it to finish. In short, find another toaster. One, they are always lit and using energy, but they're so inset that I have to lean over in order to see the entire number in the display window. I figured that with such a fancy looking toaster and the "LED technology" there would be some way of setting a tone to let you know when the toast pops up. We're back to using our 10+ year old Kenmore four slice toaster. It doesn't necessarily fit four slices (because it has only two long slots that aren't quite long enough to fit anything but the cheapest brands of bread) but at least it toasts BOTH sides of the bread AND you can hear it when it pops up.
Bought a four-slicer like this at Costco and right from the start one side of two of the four slots either doesn't toast at all or very little. Too bad a good company puts out a bad piece of equipment. I found that if you emphatically pushed down the toast carriage thingie, then you'd get equal "toastation" on all sides. Sometimes. I wouldn't trade my old Cuisinart food processor for anything. It's a workhorse.
This toaster was a replacement for a two slice model, and has been a big help in getting breakfast for a group of folks. It toasts evenly and the settings are true. It also can be used for a single item if that is needed.
